Martin Flaherty founded Pencilbox in 1999. Since then has worked directly with executive leadership at The Coca-Cola Comany, MillerKnoll, General Motors, Aflac, The WELL Living Lab at Mayo Clinic and others on strategy, positioning, corporate and brand communications.
In 2007 he co-founded ecoScorecard, the first web-based platform for green building product documentation and sold it in 2012.
He created the FloorScore and LEVEL sustainability certification brands. Both are referenced by commercial builders and governments internationally for sustainable product selection.
