Started in 1999, Pencilbox focuses on the development of corporate, brand, and marketing communications for a variety of companies. Brands such as The Coca-Cola Company, General Motors, and the US Green Building Council have contracted with us to develop communications strategies for their executive leadership, employees, and customers. From corporate social responsibility communications for Aflac, to the development and design of the level, FloorScore, and ecoScorecard brands. Martin Flaherty is the principal and founder of Pencilbox Inc. He has deep corporate experience consulting to executive management teams at The Coca-Cola Company, Aflac, GM, The Mohawk Group, Interface Inc, The Office of The Governor of Georgia, the USGBC and others. A specialist in communications, brand, and strategy, his work includes the development of the brand and communications strategy for the level sustainability standard for the commercial furniture industry. He also developed the brand and communications strategy for the FloorScore environmental standard. Flaherty is known as an expert in issues relating to sustainability and its application in marketing.
In 2006, Flaherty and his partners launched the building industry’s first web-based product evaluation tool for green building rating systems – ecoScorecard – that was sold in 2010.
Flaherty is sought out for his opinions and advice and works with executive leadership in manufacturing, architecture and with NGOs interested in brand and corporate communications from concept to reality through simple and concise execution.
